In 2012, I designed and programmed a dead reckoning software for TI’s Stellaris Evalbot as the final course project for Microprocessor Systems. The following video shows a successful demonstration of this project.
This was a team project, completed along with two other team members. The platform was designed to navigate from one corner of a confined space to the other, while being able to identify where objects were placed in the course path (data collection mode) and then avoid those objects on subsequent runs. Our project earned high marks, and was notable for being the only project in the class that met the original assignment rules.
